This temple is not as crowded as the others, and really gives you and idea of what it was like in the 1860's when these temples were first rediscovered.
I think my favourite temple, really quiet and peaceful. Not as restored as other temples so feels spooky and more authentic in the forest. It’s huge and many areas you are alone
Be sure to explore all of the passageways. BEWARE of the off-duty police! They act as unsolicited tour guides & then ask for a donation in return knowing you'll be intimidated. Just leave them behind.
Keep your location in mind. The temple has a "+" layout, so it's easy to get a bit lost. East Gate is much less crowded, so is better for exploratory wandering.
