The building is stunning, with lots of open space for admiring it. More free exhibits than previously which is great for intro to design. Downstairs café seems like an afterthought, cramped and dark.
Differently from the old venue, here you can get in for free and have a look around (with a free exhibition). Cafeteria is always good. You don't have the view of the old one but it's very pleasant
The main exhibition is on the top floor, with the paid exhibitions on the ground floor and the basement. Very cool building, but surprisingly little of the floorspace is accessible to the public
A very nice upgrade for Design Museum, a beautiful and spacious space with neatly organised exhibitions. Recommended for design geeks and curious people alike.
Such a great museum. Entry is free and it’s appropriate for adults and children. They’ll often put on exhibitions that should be booked in advance. The shops are so tempting and amazing for gifts.
More than £80m was spent into the new venue for the museum. The entrance is now free and you'll find everything from the a AK47 to an original Sony Walkman.
