This is a truly excellent history museum--so much so that I actually got kicked out at the end of the day when they were trying to close but I wasn't done yet! The moral of the story is to go early :)
Great place to learn about Singapore's history, especially the guided tour by an passionate volunteer guide. A lot of coverage on life during and post WW2. Food here is limited & overpriced though.
If you're in Singapore, make time to see this museum. They have some outstanding galleries with art from all over Southeast Asia. If you want a good dose of Singapore / Asian history, start here!
If u prefer a quiet viewing of the art, avoid the guided tour at 11 am given in loud Singlish. Beware of school excursions / tours too. Probably safer to visit in afternoon.
A must see if you are here in Singapore. However do check online if there are any special events going on as sometimes the museum might close some of the exhibitions.
