Not too big and interesting enough to keep the attention of kids a couple of hours. Lovely area around also to walk if it's not raining. We walked from the city center - about 20 min (with the kids)

I'm spoiled by the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Akvariet i Bergen pales in comparison. It's quite small but they've managed to pack in some sea lions, a harbor seal, penguins, crocodiles and more.

Great little compact place with a decent variety of animals. There are rather interesting 15-min shows running in the cinema downstairs every hourly. Free with Bergen Card in winter.

Really nice aquarium , you can see penguins, sea lions, seals, sparks, a lot of different types of fish and a lot more. Student discount with student id card 150 kr
